Day One
Departing South Wales, we head to the most southerly county in the country, and on to the excellent 4* Royal Duchy Hotel in Falmouth.
Considered to be one of the finest luxury seafront hotels in Cornwall, The Royal Duchy is blessed with one of the most idyllic locations, with stunning views across the bay to Pendennis Castle. Here we'll enjoy the next four nights with evening meals and a full Cornish breakfast each morning.
Day Two - St Ives & Land's End
Our first stop is the postcard-perfect streets of St Ives, where golden beaches, little fishing boats and seaside cafés make it one of Cornwall’s favourite destinations. Take a stroll along the harbour, grab yourself some famous fish & chips, browse the independent shops or simply sit back with an ice cream and enjoy the sea air.
Later that day, we continue on to the spectacular cliffs of Land’s End – the most westerly point of mainland England. With breathtaking coastal views, dramatic scenery and plenty of photo opportunities, before we head back to Falmouth.
Day Three - The Eden Project
Today we'll head inland, to the site of the former China clay pit, where you'll now find the incredible Eden Project.
Opened in 2001, this amazing destination features enormous biome structures that recreate different global climates, including rainforest and Mediterranean environments, and house thousands of plant species from around the world.
Day Four - Free in Falmouth
Relax... take a leisurely breakfast and enjoy the views across the bay from the terrace lounge or enjoy the facilities that include a heated indoor pool, cedar sauna, heated ceramic beds, a fully equipped gym.
With Falmouth on your doorstep, you can enjoy little independent shops and galleries around the town centre, where you’ll find everything from handmade jewellery and many locally produced gifts... and you may even try a proper Cornish pasty!
Day Five
Time to bid a fond farewell to the south-west coast, heading back to Wales for an early evening return.
