Queen Elizabeth ll - Her Life In Style
In 2026, to mark the centenary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth, The King’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace will play host to the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of the late Queen’s fashion ever mounted.
Through approximately 200 items, around half on display for the first time, Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style will chart the remarkable story of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch through clothing worn in all ten decades of her life: from birth to adulthood, from princess to queen, and from off-duty style to diplomatic dressing for the global stage.
Day One - London
Departing South Wales (all pick-ups take place between 6am & 9am) we head along the motorway, taking a coffee stop along the way before arriving in London and stopping as close as we can to Buckingham Palace at lunchtime to allow you time for a bite to eat before your 2.30pm entry to Queen Elizabeth - Her Life In Style.
At the end of the exhibition, we leave London and head to the excellent Voco Reading hotel for an overnight stay. Here you’ll be treated to a buffet style dinner, accommodation and full English breakfast the following morning.
Day Two - Windsor
After breakfast at the hotel, we'll make our way over to nearby Windsor, where we hope to arrive at around 10.30am. This beautiful and unique town attracts visitors year-round, and it's not hard to see why! Situated on the banks of the Thames, this elegant town is home to some superb places to eat and drink, and some excellent high street and independent shopping too.
With Eton just over the bridge, and boat trips that take on a cruise up the river, Windsor is so much more than the home of His Majesty The King, Windsor Castle.
We'll be leaving Windsor by 3pm for a late evening return home.
