Join us for a summer weekend break to visit the iconic Buckingham Palace and you will see the magnificent State Rooms which provide the setting for ceremonial occasions and official entertaining by His Majesty The King.
Day One
Leaving South Wales we head to Royal Windsor, arriving around lunchtime. Here you'll have the afternoon to explore, you could visit the castle (Windsor Castle entry is NOT included with this break),or go for a stroll beside the River Thames, or if you prefer there's plenty of shops to browse. At the end of the afternoon its a short drive to our hotel for the evening, the Holiday Inn Heathrow Bath Road for a one night stay with a simple buffet style three course evening meal included, plus a full English breakfast the following morning.
A note about your included evening meal: For convenience and value, your break includes a simple evening meal as part of your hotel stay. The hotel's evening meal is designed to cater for a larger group of people together at the same time, so you may find that the choices are more basic and limited. We recognise that it may not always meet the expectations of those that would prefer a superior dining experience from an extensive menu, and we recommend that you bear this in mind when booking this break. Most hotels have alternative options via a bar and or room service menu to purchase at your own expense, should the inclusive evening meal not meet your own personal preference
Day Two
After your full English and continental breakfast we'll take you into central London, to Buckingham Palace for your State Rooms tour.
Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and London residence of His Majesty The King. During a visit to the Palace, you can see the magnificent State Rooms, which provide the setting for ceremonial occasions and official entertaining. All rooms are furnished with many of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection.
At the end of the tour, you'll have a little more time to explore and grab some lunch before we leave mid-afternoon for a late evening return home.
