The Tattoo is reached by a steep walk, and there are steps to seats - if you have concerns about access, please contact us for further information before booking.

Day One
Departing South Wales we head North and across the Scottish Border before arriving at the King Robert Hotel on the outskirts of Stirling. Here we'll get checked in for a four night stay, which includes evening meals on three nights ( (*evening meal not included on the evening of the Edinburgh Tattoo) and breakfast each day. This family run hotel provides a welcoming place to stay, and is well located for exploring the surrounding area during the rest of your holiday.

*Please be aware that this hotel does not have a lift - if you require a ground floor room please ensure that you make this request so that we can check availability before you make a booking

Day Two - Edinburgh
This morning you'll have some time to spend at leisure before it'll be time for us to make our way to Edinburgh. Stopping off in the heart of the city, you'll have the rest of the afternoon to explore this fabulous capital of Scotland. Wander along Princess Street, climb up Arthur's Seat and take in the views over the city, take a Haunted tour or maybe just enjoy samples of whisky on the Royal Mile..

That evening you'll take your seats at Edinburgh Castle's Esplanade for this years Royal Military Tattoo which starts at 9:30pm. With almost 1000 musicians, pipers, drummers, singers and dancers from.all around the Commonwealth, it promises to be the most spectacular event of the summer.

At the end of the evening you'll join your coach and return to the hotel, arriving back very late.

Day Three - Stirling
Enjoy a leisurely start to the day as we take you to the nearby city of Stirling. Appearing to be a smaller version of Edinburgh, with its Castle perched on high and cobbled streets, the city does have a history all of its own. From the Coronation of Mary Queen Of Scots to William Wallace defeating the English at Stirling Bridge, with a statue of the man himself high up on Abbey Craig.

From here we head back to take a look at one of Scotland's modern marvels, The Falkirk Wheel. This giant scoop picks up boats and moves them between the Clyde and Forth canals and back again and is certainly an amazing sight.

Day Four
From the cities to the glorious Highlands we go as we take in some of Scotland's most dramatic scenery in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Taking you to Tarbet for a cruise on the Loch itself and enjoying a stop off at the lochside village of Luss, all in the shadow of Ben Lomond, the most southerly mountain in the Munro range.

Day Five
Time to say goodbye to this beautiful part of Scotland, heading south taking breaks along the way, and arriving back in Wales for a late evening return home.
