Join us for a holiday that takes in the beautiful Broads and so much more in this spectacular part of the country.
Day One
Departing South Wales, we head East and on to the beautiful Maids Head Hotel. Said to be one of the country's oldest hotels, this charming 800-year-old property manages to combine a traditional feel with all the modern touches you'd expect from a 4-star hotel.
And with the city of Norwich right on your doorstep, you can explore or relax as much as you like
Day Two – Sandringham
Included in your holiday is entry to Sandringham House and Gardens. Since 1862, Sandringham has been a private residence of four generations of monarchs, set in 24 hectares of gardens, it’s as popular today as ever.
Day Three – Norwich & The Broads
This morning it's free in Norwich, the capital of Norfolk, and it’s the only city. Home to typical high street shops, you'll also find plenty of independent stores hidden away down cobbled streets and of course, its ever-popular market. The heart of the city is home to the imposing 900-year-old Norman Castle and cathedral, coupled with plenty of places to grab a spot of lunch.
In the afternoon, we'll make our way to the Norfolk Broads, a man-made phenomenon that has blended into the countryside with ease. Formed by the demand for peat, the lakes now form some of the UK’s most popular yet tranquil waterways. With a stop off at Wroxham and a cruise on the broads themselves all included.
Day Four - Thursford Steam Museum
Visit the most extensive collection of steam engines, organs and fairground carousels as we get up close to some of these magnificent machines of yesteryear at the Thursford Steam Museum. With the wonderful Wurlitzer and colourful fairground rides too, it's a fascinating look back at a time gone by.
That afternoon, you'll be free to explore Norwich once again, and with the hotel being so close to the centre, you can enjoy the city at your own pace.
Day Five
Time to bid farewell to Norfolk and make our way home, arriving back in the evening.
We have a number of pick up points available for this break as shown below...
