Day One
Departing south Wales we head into England and northwards. We will stop for several refreshment breaks on our journey, before arriving late in the afternoon at the Queens Hotel York for your four night stay with evening meal (usually served at 6.30pm) and breakfast included each day. 

Situated on the banks of the River Ouse, in the heart of the City of York, the Queen's Hotel is perfectly located to suit all visitors;  Step out of the Hotel into a world of history and explore the many dimensions York has to offer, from medieval times to modern day.

*River View rooms available upon request at an additional supplement of £40 per room.

Day Two – Whitby and Pickering
Today we head to the North east coast of Yorkshire and on to the seaside town of Whitby. A thriving fishing harbour with charming streets, a steam railway and also the birthplace of Bram Stoker’s Dracula! Combined with excellent fish and chips, it’s a perfect stop off.

From here we head over the Yorkshire Moors and on to Pickering. The hub of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, this ancient market town is bustling with plenty of shops, local pubs and places to eat.

Day Three - Harrogate
Our excursion today takes us to the beautiful spa town of Harrogate. Renowned for its elegant architecture, lush parks, and historic buildings, Harrogate is also known for its spa culture, with visitors flocking to the town to enjoy the therapeutic waters of the Royal Pump Room Museum. The town offers a mix of boutique shops, high-end restaurants, and traditional tea rooms, making it a delightful destination for a day out!

Day Four – Free in York
Today your time is free to spend as you please in the city of York. With plenty to see and do right on your doorstep, for inspiration and ideas take a look at the Visit York website: https://www.visityork.org/

Day Five
Time to say goodbye to Yorkshire and head back to South Wales. With refreshment breaks along the way, and arriving back home that evening.

Located on the banks of the River Ouse, The Queens Hotel is ideally located for the many shops, restaurants and bars that the centre of York has to offer. The Queens Hotel is within easy walking distance of York Train Station, York Minster and the National Rail Museum. Rooms with disabled access are available on request. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with classical decor. All rooms have free Wi-Fi internet access, private bathrooms with complimentary toiletries, a refreshments tray and a TV. The Royal Brasserie is a relaxing place to dine, serving breakfast and dinner to guests. It offers a range of modern and traditional dishes. The bar is open daily until midnight.
