Join us on a weekend away that includes two fabulous destinations, a vineyard visit and some generous tasting of wine at the Stanlake Park Wine Estate.
Day One - Marlborough & Wine Tasting
Departing South Wales we head off for a lunchtime stop at the beautiful Wessex town of Marlborough. Consistently voted one of the best places to live in England, the town boasts many boutique shops along with excellent pubs, restaurants and cafes ... perfect to grab a bite to eat before your wine tasting begins!
From Marlborough it's an hours drive to Stanlake Park Wine Estate.
Here your guide will take you on a fun and informative tour of the vineyard and winery including the grape pressing room right though to bottling.. and along the way there'll be wine tasting too; you'll have the opportunity to sample six different wines - a mix between white, rose, red and sparkling!
After your tour its a short drive to the Copthorne Hotel Slough-Windsor hotel for an overnight stay, with a buffet-style evening meal included, and a full English breakfast the following morning.
Day Two - Windsor
The following morning, it’s a relaxing start to the day, and with the centre of Windsor just a short drive away from your hotel we’ll take you over there after breakfast and checking out from the hotel.
This beautiful and unique town attracts visitors all year round, and it's not hard to see why! Situated on the banks of the Thames, this elegant town is home to some superb places to eat and drink, and some excellent high street and independent shopping too.
With Eton just over the bridge, and boat trips that take on a cruise up the river, Windsor is so much more that the home of His Majesty The King, Windsor Castle.
We'll be leaving Windsor by 3pm for a late evening return home.
