Day One - Bath
Departing South Wales we head to the city of Bath; blessed with incredible architecture, excellent shopping and charming places to grab a bite to eat, Bath is the perfect year round destination. With its Roman history, the UNESCO World Heritage site is home to many a cultural event and boasts plenty of activities if shopping isn't your thing! Get on a boat trip ( with commentary) visit the Royal Crescent, The Pump Rooms.. you can even bring your bathers and try out the Thermae Spa! It was good enough for the Romans...
And of course if shopping is your thing, Bath has been one of the most stylish retail destinations for over 300yrs!
From Bath it's on to the excellent New Ocean Hotel on Weston-super-Mare's seafront.
Here you’ll enjoy a three night stay with evening meals, breakfast and a free bar each evening between 6pm and 10pm plus entertainment! And with Weston on your doorstep, you can head out and enjoy this popular seaside town.
Day Two - Wells & Glastonbury
Today we head inland and enjoy the fabulous scenery en-route to our first stop of the day, the the smallest city in England, Wells. The magnificent cathedral dominates the medieval streets around it, and with a huge choice of independent shops, cafe’s and charming pubs.. it's ideal for a spot of lunch!
From here we make our way over to Glastonbury. This quirky town is steeped in myth and history. . From the Tor up above to the medieval sites below , it's even said to be the burial place of King Arthur.
Day Three - Clarks Village
Situated in the heart of the Somerset countryside Clarks Village is home to designer brands and high street shops, all undercover and with plenty of places for a bite to eat or a cup of tea.. if the shops aren't your thing! From here it's back to Weston for the afternoon where you can relax at the hotel or enjoy the town, the promenade and of course the newest pier in the country!
Day Four - Gloucester
Time to say goodbye to Weston as we head to the Cathedral City of Gloucester. Situated on the banks of the River Severn, this inland port has a proud industrial past with a rich history that dates back to Roman times. And with Gloucester Quays shopping centre set amongst the canal docks, its a great place to finish off your weekend away.
Departing mid afternoon for a late evening return home.

The New Ocean Hotel is a family run hotel situated opposite Weston’s famous Marine Lake and offering panoramic views over Weston Bay and beyond.
It is in an unrivalled position in the promenade, just a few minutes stroll to the town centre where guests can enjoy the numerous shops, theatres and attraction. The floral beauty of Grove Park and Prince Consort Gardens are also a short walk from the hotel.
All rooms are prepared to a high standard offering full en-suite facilities, direct-dial telephones, digital flat screen televisions, hair-dryers and hospitality tray. For your comfort the hotel also has two passenger lifts with many rooms offering level access from these lifts.
