Day Two – Exeter & Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market
Today we head over to the cathedral city of Exeter, where the city's Christmas Market will be taking place around the area of the cathedral.
An interesting place to visit at any time of the year, Exeter’s history is rich and long, pre-dating the arrival of the Romans in AD 50. This is reflected in its fascinating visitor attractions including its unique Underground Passages, it's magnificent Cathedral, imposing Roman wall and beautiful Quayside. Exeter is also home to the award-winning Royal Albert Memorial Museum where visitors can explore the city’s 2,000-year history under one roof!
Day Three – Plymouth
Today we take you out for the day and over to Plymouth. This historic naval base is a tale of two cities. If shopping isn’t your thing then the Barbican and Hoe is the place to be. Steeped in history you’ll see the Mayflower steps, The lighthouse and Plymouth sound. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t places to browse , shop and refresh yourself! And if you like a tipple, you could visit the Plymouth gin distillery.
If shopping is your thing, then the city centre is great. Two main streets of shopping and the modern Drakes Shopping centre too.. ideal for those Christmas gifts!
Day Four – Free in Torquay
Relax at the hotel, or stroll along the seafront.
If strolling isn’t your thing then hop on the land train that goes from the front of the hotel. The stops include the town centre and Tor Abbey , but to go further then the Brixham ferry is just a couple of pounds.
Day Five
Time to head home, but we will have a lunchtime break along the way, making your break last just that little bit longer! Arriving home that evening.
