Join us for the most festive of weekends away in the most regal of Thameside towns where you'll not only have entry to the oldest occupied castle in the world, but enjoy a night away in the heart of Windsor itself.
Day One
Departing South Wales (all pick ups take place between 6am & 9am) we head along the motorway and arrive in glorious Windsor shortly before midday. The River Thames, The Royal Station, Eton, fabulous high street shopping and excellent spots to grab a drink or bite to eat are all part of what this charming town has to offer.
Later in the afternoon it'll be time for our visit to Windsor Castle. During your visit you'll have the opportunity to Step into Christmas and 1,000 years of royal history at Windsor Castle. During the festive period, you can see the State Apartments decorated with magnificent Christmas displays, and see the Christmas tree in St George's Hall, taken from Windsor Great Park and dressed with thousands of twinkling lights.
After your visit we'll check in at the beautiful and contemporary townhouse that is the McDonald Hotel Windsor. Situated a stones throw from Windsor Castle, this property sits right opposite guildhall square and just a few minutes walk from the castle, the high street and everything Windsor has to offer.
Along with your accommodation, a full English breakfast is included in your stay.
Day Two
Relax.. take is easy. Today you can take breakfast at leisure before leaving your bags at reception and exploring everything Windsor has to offer. You could of simply grab a coffee and watch the world go by, or with Windsor high street shopping just yards away and the River Thames just a short walk away..there's plenty to do in this most regal of towns.
We'll be leaving Windsor by 3pm, for a late evening return home.
