Join us for a festive midweek break to one of the most elegant of destinations, transformed to a picture perfect setting for Christmas 2024!
Day One - Birmingham Christmas Market
It’s Christmas time… (well almost) so why not start it off with a glass of mulled wine and mince pie at the famous Frankfurt Christmas Market in Birmingham city centre.
The market itself has countless craft and food stalls and as you’ll be in the city centre you’ll have the added bonus of the fantastic Bullring Centre nearby.
We'll be leaving Birmingham by 4pm to continue our journey to Nottingham city centre, and on to the Leonardo Hotel Nottingham hotel to get checked in for your two night bed and breakfast stay. Located in the heart of the city, the Leonardo Hotel Nottingham is conveniently located for exploring the city if you wish to do so. However if you prefer to stay within the hotel it has it's own restaurant and bar.
Day Two - Chatsworth House
Today we're invited to the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, Chatsworth House.
This idyllic location is the home to one of the country's most incredible Christmas displays with 24 rooms of sights, sounds and scents of the season. Walk through the archways adorned with candy canes and handmade decorations until you reach Father Christmas' workshop. Here you'll find a hive of activity as the big day approaches..but watch out for his helpers making mischief around the house. If you visit the garden you can follow an interactive light trail that takes in some of Chatsworth's best-loved garden landmarks. The trail culminates in an animated projection on the house.
With entry to the house, the gardens, farmyard included, plus you'll find plenty of festive food and drinks on offer to keep you warm, Chatsworth promises to enchant and entertain along with large slice of Christmas Spirit!
Day Three - Cheltenham
Time to head south and towards home, but not before a stop off in the Regency town of Cheltenham. Known for its elegance and 'Promenade', Cheltenham is home to far more than a day at the races! Situated on the edge of the Cotswolds, the town boasts some fabulous architecture along with excellent shopping and some fine spots to enjoy a little lunch before we head for home.
Arriving back home that evening.
