Day One – Winchester
Departing South Wales we head to our first of our two destinations for this weekend, Winchester.
The Christmas Market here is regarded to be one of the best in Europe, with an unique location, high quality stalls, bustling atmosphere with an abundance of Christmas gifts and festive food.
Situated in the cathedral close, the pretty wooden cabins will be filled with hand picked exhibitors selling goods you won’t see in the high street shops.
And along with the festive food and drink such as mulled wine, German bratwurst, mince pies and stollen, you’ll have plenty to to keep you warm as you browse.
That evening, we continue on to the Leonardo Hotel Swindon for an overnight stay with a buffet style evening meal and breakfast the following morning included.
A note about your included evening meal: For convenience and value, your break includes a simple evening meal as part of your hotel stay. The hotel's evening meal is designed to cater for a larger group of people together at the same time, so you may find that the choices are more basic and limited. We recognise that it may not always meet the expectations of those that would prefer a superior dining experience from an extensive menu, and we recommend that you bear this in mind when booking this break. Most hotels have alternative options via a bar and or room service menu to purchase at your own expense, should the inclusive evening meal not meet your own personal preference
Day Two
After your breakfast it’s a 9am start as we off down the M4 and to Bath. This beautiful spa town is steeped in history...along with having excellent shopping and a huge choice of venues for a bite to eat.
Leaving Bath by 4pm for a late evening return home.
