Have a little break this Christmas and join us on a shopping weekend break taking in Winchester and Windsor during the festive period
Day One – Winchester
Departing South Wales we head to our first of our two destinations for this weekend, Winchester.
The Christmas Market here is regarded to be one of the best in Europe, with an unique location, high quality stalls, bustling atmosphere with an abundance of Christmas gifts and festive food.
Situated in the cathedral close, the pretty wooden cabins will be filled with hand picked exhibitors selling goods you won’t see in the high street shops.
And along with the festive food and drink such as mulled wine, German bratwurst, mince pies and stollen, you’ll have plenty to to keep you warm as you browse.
At the end of the afternoon we'll leave Winchester to take you over to the Voco Reading Hotel, for your overnight stay with an evening meal & breakfast included.
Day Two
After breakfast at the hotel we'll be checking out by 10am to make the short drive over to Windsor town centre.
This beautiful and unique town attracts visitors all year round, and it's not hard to see why! Situated on the banks of the Thames, this elegant town is home to some superb places to eat and drink, and some excellent high street and independent shopping too.
With Eton just over the bridge, and boat trips that take you on a cruise up the river, Windsor is so much more that the home of His Majesty The King, Windsor Castle.
We'll be departing from Windsor by 3pm for late evening return home.
