Day One - Windsor
Departing south Wales, we'll be stopping on our journey for a motorway services refreshment break before arriving in Windsor at lunchtime (we hope to arrive at approximately 12.30-1pm)
This beautiful and unique town attracts visitors all year round, and it's not hard to see why! Situated on the banks of the Thames, this elegant town is home to some superb places to eat and drink, and some excellent high street and independent shopping too.
With Eton just over the bridge, and boat trips that take on a cruise up the river, Windsor is so much more that the home of His Majesty The King, Windsor Castle.
At the end of the afternoon it’s a short journey to the excellent Voco Reading hotel for an overnight stay. Here you’ll be treated to a buffet style dinner, accommodation and full English breakfast the following morning.
A note about your included evening meal: For convenience and value, your break includes a simple evening meal as part of your hotel stay. The hotel's evening meal is designed to cater for a larger group of people together at the same time, so you may find that the choices are more basic and limited. We recognise that it may not always meet the expectations of those that would prefer a superior dining experience from an extensive menu, and we recommend that you bear this in mind when booking this break. Most hotels have alternative options via a bar and or room service menu to purchase at your own expense, should the inclusive evening meal not meet your own personal preference
Day Two - Gloucester Quays
After breakfast and check out from the hotel at approximately 9am, it's just over 1.5 hours drive to the Gloucester Quays retail outlet.
Set in a stunning waterside location in the heart of Gloucester docks, just a short walk from the city centre and attractions like Gloucester cathedral and the National Waterways Museum, Gloucester Quays is home to numerous designer and high street fashion brands as well as a range of leisure outlets including coffee shops, restaurants, bars and a cinema.
We'll be departing from Gloucester Quays by 3.30pm, and arriving home in the evening.
